A driving traditional bluegrass band from the hills of North Carolina. Randy, Butch and Mark first started playing music together right after high school in 1979. Years later they met Wes, who lived in the area as well. He added his superb mandolin and fiddle talents to the group. Most recently fiddler extraordinaire, Bob Frankot, has joined the band. Over the years, the guys have shared the stage with Doc Watson, Allison Krause, Tony Rice, Charlie Waller -- just to name a few. HillBilly Fever entertains audiences with their mix of bluegrass, classic country, and gospel selections.

Mark Krider

Mark was born and raised in the hills of North Carolina, surrounded by Bluegrass music greats. He has been playing for about 40 years in the style of J.D. Crowe, Earl Scruggs, Raymond Fairchild and Sonny Osborne. Mark has been a member several bands in North Carolina and Arizona, playing at festivals, recurring regular gigs, as well as private events. Completely self-taught, Mark possesses an incredible ear for how the music should sound down to the smallest detail. He has pored over recordings from all the greats and has amassed a wealth of Bluegrass history knowledge.  Mark now lives in East Texas with his wife, Sue.

Randy Gambill

Randy has performed with Doc Watson, Jim Lauderdale, Doug Jernigan & Jack Lawrence and worked with the late Roy Huskey Jr. Randy lived abroad for 10 years. During that time, he toured Europe promoting bluegrass and Americana music, where he shared the stage with Allison Krauss, Tim O'Brien, Mark O'Connor, Laurie Lewis, Tony Furtado English Folk-diva June Tabor, and ex-Fairport Convention member- Jerry Donahue. Randy is a computer networking instructor at Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, NC where he lives with his wife, Sharilyn. 

Wes Tuttle

Wes has shared the stage with Doc Watson, Josh Graves, Kenny Baker, Benny Martin, Mac Wiseman, Jerry Douglas, Steve Dilling, Kim Gardner and others. Wes has also recorded with Tony Rice, Ronnie Bowman, Russell Moore, Jim Buchanan. Wes has been very active in the music scene for many years and is well-known in the bluegrass community. Wes is an employee of the USDA/Natural Resources Conservation Service. Wes resides in Moravian Falls with his wife Ann and one of his sons, Gray.

Butch Barker

Over the years Butch has performed with many great bands and artists like Wayne Henderson Terry Baucum, Rock Bottom, Butch Robbins, Steve Dilling, Danny Paisley, to name a few. Butch plays bass and is also a phenomenal guitar player. He sings lead and baritone vocals as well. Butch makes his home in West Jefferson, NC with his wife Susie.

Bob Frankot

Bob hails from the San Joaquin Valley in California. In his youth, Bob fell in love with the great music and camaraderie of the bluegrass and old time fiddle traditions. He learned bluegrass fiddle from the masters -- Bill Monroe alumni fiddlers Richard Greene and Byron Berline. He also learned western swing style fiddling from fiddler/composer Harold Hensley whose fiddle Bob still plays to this day. Bob performed many years with California bluegrass band Hot Off the Press and has entertained on television, radio and of course, at Disneyland. Bob plays with several Arizona bluegrass bands. A versatile musician, he has been known to venture into Irish, Jazz, Middle Eastern and Klezmer music. Bob lives in Tucson AZ with his wife, Melinda.
